Responsibilities
Technical responsibility for a broad range of assembly and subassembly operations.
Interface with Product Engineering during development of new products assuring the manufacturability, safety, quality and cost effectiveness.
Define manufacturing assembly and test processes in accordance with volume forecast as well as define methods and work stations.
Perform technical evaluation of viable process I equipment options including Process Flow, Process Capability, PFMEA, and fail-safing. Selects process / equipment options that satisfy quality / cost / capacity / product flexibility objectives.
Solve operating problems by using root cause / corrective action techniques.
Formulate continuous improvement projects to improve quality and cost performance.
Develop layouts of processes and/or assembly lines. Line balancing and definition of manpower requirements.
Lead in new product and new line launches. Provide improvement recommendations to facilitate these launches.
Other duties as required
